The Wisconsin Foundation & Alumni Association (WFAA) maintains ABE CRM, the constituent relationship management database of UW-Madison alumni, donors and friends. ABE (Advancing Badger Engagement) is the database of record for donor relations and advancement activity across UW-Madison. WFAA teams such as constituent data processing, gift processing, prospect management, alumni relations, and advancement—along with campus partners—all contribute to the richness and accuracy of constituent data on this shared platform. ABE includes over 1 million constituent records with active addresses, emails, and phone numbers. Data updates from multiple sources ensure the most current and accurate information to contact donors, alumni, and friends of UW-Madison.
WFAA provides UW-Madison campus partners with the access and training they need to use ABE CRM and the fund administration and reporting tools through the Advancement Resources website Fund Management and Fund Reporting applications.
How do I access constituent and fund data?
Constituent data is available to authorized users of ABE CRM. Access to fund information is provided through the Advancement Resources website. Campus colleagues whose work involves alumni relations and advancement on behalf of UW-Madison may request access to both these applications with the appropriate security required to do their work.
To request access to either ABE CRM or fund information, click on Funds & Constituent tab above, and choose the link to “Request access to ABE CRM or Fund Information” underneath the login box. There, you will find a directory of contact persons by campus unit who can request access on your behalf.
Updating the Database
If you have new or updated information about a constituent in the ABE database, you may submit it to WFAA in a number of ways:
If you currently have access to ABE CRM, you may submit updates directly from the constituent record Contact or Relationship tabs by choosing the new request link from the appropriate section. If you have more than 10 updates to submit, you may send them in an Excel file through our Help Center at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You may submit requests for new constituent records through ABE as well, using the Add an individual request feature on the Constituents tab.
If you do not have access to ABE CRM, you may submit updated individual constituent information through our Help Center as well.
