WFAA Operational Updates

July 1st, 2017

Wisconsin Alumni Association

This month, Sarah Schutt is taking the reins of the Wisconsin Alumni Association® (WAA) as its executive director and as WFAA’s chief alumni officer.

Advancement Division

We’re also excited to announce that this month, Alisa Robertson ’94, MBA’03 will be assuming the role of WFAA’s senior vice president and chief advancement officer. In this position, she’ll lead WFAA’s newly created Advancement Division, which includes our development, stewardship, advancement services, marketing, communications, and alumni relations and engagement teams.

DDEEA Development

In March, WFAA hired a development director for the Division of Diversity, Equity & Educational Achievement. He’s our very own Trent Jackson ’94, EMBA’04, who joined WFAA’s L&S development team in 2015. Trent will be working with our alumni community to secure the resources needed to maintain our collective promise of an open, accepting, and diverse UW.

Diverse Alumni Engagement

Starting on July 17, WFAA will welcome Gia Gallimore as our director of diverse alumni engagement. Gia comes to WFAA after holding positions for the Boys & Girls Club of Dane County, the Target Corporation, and UW–Madison’s Multicultural Student Center. Gia will lead our efforts to increase and deepen the engagement of the diverse UW alumni community with the university and with each other.
