Founders’ Day is more than just a day — it’s a season! Kicking off on February 5, alumni chapters around the world commemorate the anniversary of the first classes held at the UW on February 5, 1849. At these always-spirited events, alumni and friends gather to eat, drink, be Badgery — and hear lectures from some of the UW’s best faculty (and staff) members. Our speakers represent a broad spectrum of the campus’s colleges, schools, departments, and centers.
Can’t make it in person? We encourage you and your alumni to share what UW–Madison means to you on social media using #UWFoundersDay.
